This qualification assesses an agent’s ability to accurately and efficiently engage targets using both strong and support hands, as well as under various time constraints and positions.
Course Setup:
Range: 3 to 25 yards.
Rounds Fired: Course totals vary by line; the entire qualification uses 60 rounds.
Target: QIT-99 Target.
Scoring: Each round counts as one point.
Minimum Passing Scores: Agents must score at least 48 out of 60; instructors must score 54 out of 60.
Start Position: Varied; includes holstered starts and starts from the low ready position.
Course of Fire:
3-Yard Line:
Draw and fire 3 rounds strong hand only, switch hands, and fire 3 rounds support hand only. Complete within 6 seconds.
5-Yard Line:
Draw and fire 3 rounds in 3 seconds.
From the Low Ready, fire 3 rounds in 2 seconds.
From the Low Ready, fire 6 rounds in 4 seconds.
7-Yard Line:
Draw and fire 5 rounds in 5 seconds.
From the Low Ready, fire 4 rounds, conduct an empty gun reload, and fire 4 more rounds. Complete within 8 seconds.
From the Low Ready, fire 5 rounds in 4 seconds.
15-Yard Line:
Draw and fire 3 rounds in 6 seconds.
From the Low Ready, fire 3 rounds in 5 seconds.
25-Yard Line:
Draw and fire 4 rounds from standing, then drop to a kneeling position and fire 4 more rounds from kneeling. Complete within 20 seconds.
